Mission and Goals

The success of any soccer program not only depends on good coaching and talented players, but also on hard working and dedicated volunteers.  The USC Girls Soccer Program is fortunate to have all of this.  Most importantly, the season is about the young women who play the game.  Their development from Recreation Soccer to Travel soccer to High School Soccer is a major growing experience that illustrates their strength, perseverance, talent and enthusiasm.  The program mission is to allow individuals to pursue their individual careers while continuing to develop under the guidance of an exceptional coaching staff.

The Goal of the USC girls soccer program is to teach both the technical and tactical skills of the game.  We have assembled an experienced coaching staff whose expertise will enable each player to strive to reach their full potential as soccer players.  Emphasis is placed on learning how to analyze situations as they occur on the field and during the run of play.  The players learn how to monitor and adjust play in a logical manner to ensure a successful season.  This is done while maintaining the highest level of player integrity and character, both on and off the field.  The highest goal of the the USC girls soccer program is to have the girls become exemplary role models for other students and athletes of the Upper St Clair School District.
